Hi, I'm Chetan.

Welcome to NotesfromChetan; my nook of the Internet where I document my thoughts, travel notes, reflections, and everything else that I find worth remembering and sharing along this cosmic dance that we called Life.

What You’ll Find Here

Travel
Stories, photographs, memories, encounters from the road and (mostly) travelogues.

Musings
Thoughts, reflections, and essays on life, culture and endeavours that stay.

Books
Notes from what I read, highlights, and ideas that feed this ever evolving mind.

Music
Notes that strike the right chord (pun intended); genre and language no bar.

Media
Movies and shows that, I think, derserve a place of their own.

Why This Blog Exists

This blog was originally created back in 2017, as a means to document my escapades and travelogues. I published a couple of write-ups, then life took over and this space fell silent.

Only much recently as a decision to curb my time on popular social media (mainly Instagram, which had been my medium of choice to pen my thoughts), I turned to this blog where expression feels more intentional and quieter. I hope it serves as a reminder for me to not fall prey to algorithms and conformity.

This blog—it's all work in progress,
just like we all are.

About Me

I’m Chetan, still becoming.

A mosaic of a dreamer, thinker, traveller, reader, writer, and the urge to become more.
I try, fail, feel, try again, succeed, and begin again.

Also, in case you find yourself wondering about the images in the cover and the background, they are Andromeda Galaxy (the "nearest" galaxy to ours, 2.5 million light years away) and star forming Nebula W51 (the largest "star factory" in our Milky Way Galaxy) respectively.

It's a small gesture of gratitude to Dr. Carl Sagan who has taught me to look up - literally and metaphorically; who has reminded us

“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”

That we don't live in the universe.
We are the universe.
